Rangers last confirmed that they have completed the long awaited g of Burnley striker Kyle Lafferty for a fee of £3.25 million, according to Sky Sports.

Lafferty was part of a deal that would see Rangers midfielder Alan Gow move the other way to Turf Moor, however it appears that the deal for Gow has stalled with Northern Ireland star Lafferty ing Ger’s anyway.

Lafferty, 20, has come the UEFA Cup finalists second g this summer following the return of Kenny Miller from relegated side Derby County. Rangers have added that Gow, who has been targeted by numerous Championship teams, is still available to Burnley.

Lafferty told the club’s official website: “I’m delighted to be here. The move has been a long time in coming and I’m thrilled to be at the club at last.

“When I heard Rangers were looking at me, I really wanted to them but there was a point when I thought they had lost interest.

“I heard nothing from them so I was worried the move wouldn’t happen and I was delighted when my agent rang me to say Burnley had accepted the bid for me.

“Hopefully I can now show the fans what I can do on the pitch. All of my mates and family are big Rangers fans so they’re pleased I’m at the club now.”
