Kylian Mbappe welcomes it when critics point out when he is not scoring for as it “puts respect on my name”.

Speaking to TF1 after the game, he was asked whether it bothered him when people pointed out his lack of open-play goals, to which he replied: “No. There are times like that.
“It’s good that people point it out when I don’t score, because it means people are waiting for me to score. It puts respect on my name.
“Now, that’s how it is. I’ve had episodes that have delayed the outcome a little. I’m happy to start scoring again, I’ve scored two matches in a row, but I’m especially happy to win, that’s the most important thing.”
