Aston Villa are interested in g Adrien Truffert from Rennes in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun. Bournemouth are keen on a summer deal for the left-back as a potential replacement for Milos Kerkez, but Villa are now planning to hijack a potential deal.
With Kerkez looking increasingly likely to leave Bournemouth for Liverpool in the summer transfer window, the Cherries have identified Truffert as a potential target. Bournemouth are reported to be close to agreeing a £20million deal for the 23-year-old French left-back. However, Villa could now make a move and hijack the deal.
Truffert scored three goals and gave two assists in 35 appearances for Rennes last season. In the 2024/25 campaign, the left-back found the back of the net twice and provided seven assists in 43 matches in all competitions for the French club.
